Political Science

Below is the list of courses of Independent Study Program. These courses enable individuals to achieve their educational goals without having to give up other aspects of their life. The program allows students to participate in a quality educational process and to choose where and when to study.

American National Politics. This course studies basic processes in American politics; principles and structure of national governments. For students the Internet access is required.

Understanding Human Conflict - study of conflict: personal, social, institutional, ethnic, and international. Besides, the course examines conflict resolution and management.

Comparative Politics. This course introduce to comparative political analysis through study of selected political systems. Here, emphasis is made on basic political functions and processes in developed countries.

World Politics. This course studies the political problems and issues which face the world. The course emphases conflict, arms transfers, economic change, and world commons. Internet access is required for those who decided to choose this course.

War, Peace, and Globalization. Here, you can learn such notions as war, peace and Globalization in international relations. In this course special emphasis is made on the theoretical framework for global conflict and the many political dimensions of globalization. Prerequisite: American National Politics.

Area Study: Latin America. The course introduces students to the political, economic, and military structures and processes of the region.

The minimum time required to complete a course is 12 weeks.
Each course consists of 3 credit hours.
