Introduction to Philosophy (Online course). This course introduces some of the basic problems of philosophy. Is everything determined to happen beforehand and, if so, is it still possible for us to have free will? What is knowledge, and what, if anything, can we know? What constitutes right and wrong behavior? The course helps students draw some conclusions about philosophical matters and gives them a better understanding of why others believe differently.

Elementary Logic (print-based course with e-mail options). This course examines questions like: what is logic, what types of reasoning are there, what reasons are good reasons, are there any general ways to determine whether certain forms of reasoning are good?  It also helps students develop an ability to symbolize and appraise various forms of reasoning with the help of elementary mathematical techniques. Mathematical background, however, is not necessary. The course is an introduction to symbolic logic.
