The central theme is humans and the environment, emphasizing ecology, natural resource conservation, and the interrelatedness of a growing human population. It is recommended for nonscience majors. The course meets MAPS requirement for natural science: non-lab. It is approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: natural science. The course consists of 3 semester hours. It is online, self-paced. Tuition cost: $711.

Biology: A Human Approach 2. This course continues the previous one, focusing on the function of the human body, and maintenance of dynamic equilibrium in the internal environment in the face of a continually changing external environment. It discusses factors influencing these homeostatic conditions and how and why they change. It is recommended for nonscience majors, and approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: natural science. The course consists of 3 semester hours; 10 lessons, 2 exams. It is online, self-paced. Tuition cost: $711.
