Anthropology

Following Independent Study Program enables you to achieve your educational goals without having to give up other aspects of your life. This program allows you to participate in a quality educational process and to choose where and when you study.

Cultural Anthropology. This course introduces students to the concepts by which anthropology understands particular lifestyles, and to the constructs by which it accounts for similarities and differences among lifestyles.

Introduction to Archaeology. Here you can find explanation of the evolution of culture as explained through archaeological methods and theories; emphasis in this course is made on the preservation and protection of the cultural environment.

World Archaeology. Discover awareness and appreciation of cultural evolution and heritage through descriptions and interpretations of archaeological remains throughout the world with this course.

Social and Cultural Theory. The course investigates different aspects of human being, using from classical to contemporary theory in sociology and anthropology.

Aging, Culture and Society – studies cultural, sociological, and psychological dimensions of aging.

Crime and the Mind - examination of “crime” as an ongoing aspect of human existence.

Each course consists of 3 semester-hour credits. The minimum time required to complete a course is 12 weeks.
