The Center for Independent and Distance Learning offers Semester-based Independent Study College Courses. This courses are on a semester schedule, have firm due dates for assignments and tests, unlike other Independent Study courses.
Business Finance. It is an introductory course in financial administration of the firm. Course topics include the finance function, concepts of sources and uses of funds, analysis and estimation of need for funds (short- and long-term), short-term sources, working capital management policy, long-term sources, capital structure policy and implementation, capital budgeting and the cost of capital. The course has 6 online quizzes and 2 online exams that are all graded immediately. It consists of 3 Credit Hours.

Financial Intermediaries and Markets. This course investigates the determination of the level of domestic rates of interest and their implications for international currency markets. Moreover, it analyzes the behavior of fixed income prices. Also, it describes the important financial institutions in U.S. financial markets. This course details the structure of interest rates. In addition, this course discusses techniques of domestic and international institutions to immunize portfolios. Course has 9 lessons and 3 exams. It consists of 3 Credit Hours.
