Following Independent Study Program enables individuals to achieve their educational goals withouthaving to give up other aspects of their life. This program allows students to participate in a quality educational process and to choose where and when to study.
 
Teaching as a Career. This course gives the orientation to teaching and teacher education. Class sessions and classroom observation are required. This course is not required for teacher certification. The course consists of 1 semester-hour credit. Tuition: $149.50

Foundation of Education. The course examines historical, philosophical, and sociological dimensions of education including legal and financial challenges associated with the institution of education. It is an on-line course, so students need Internet connection of at least 56K and Netscape 4.0+ or Internet Explorer 5.0+. Course follows regular semester dates. Human Growth and Development for Educators – discovers physical, mental, social, and emotional growth of the individual; provides teachers with needed perspectives on elementary and secondary school students. The course consists of 3 semester-hour credits. Tuition: $448.50

Education Across Cultures. The course analyses the multiculturalism and how the educational process can be adapted to children of diverse cultural backgrounds. Prerequisite: graduate standing. The course consists of 2 semester-hour credits. Tuition: $299
