Infant and Toddler Caregiving (3 credits). The course studies methods for developing age appropriate activities, routines, environment and guidance for infants and toddlers, birth to 36 months.
Methods & Curriculum Development for Care of School Age Children (3 credits). This course meets the developmental needs of the older children before and after school. Here, emphasis is placed on developmentally appropriate environment, curriculum, and activities.
Play and the Young Child (3 credits) – an examination of the educational function of and methods to incorporate play into early childhood curriculum; an in-depth study of the nature and role of play in the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of the child.
