Toxicology

Bircham International University provides adult degree programs leading to a distance education university degree at professional, undergraduate and graduate levels through sound updated curricula and an innovative distance learning method of instruction.

Toxicology – establishes the scientific principles underlying the toxic actions of various substances and will introduce the various challenges within the field of toxicology. This program studies the chemical nature of injurious substances, their uptake and metabolism and their mode of toxic action, as well as the methods used in safety evaluations and risk assessment. It also combines the biogeochemical cycles of toxins and their interactions with biological systems in order to improve assessment of the complex effects of toxins at the molecular, cellular, organism and ecosystem levels. The course contains 36 credits.
