The University of Natural Medicine provides higher education in the field of Integrative and Natural Medicine. It offers individually designed distance learning degree and diploma programs, independent study, seminars, practical and clinical training and research.

Aromatherapy Studies. In this course students are encouraged to take a holistic view of aromatherapy, studying not only the oils themselves, but also the plants they come from. Besides, students are required to participate in experimentation with a variety of essential oils for a number of circumstances, becoming familiar with the neurological, physical, and emotional effects of essential oils through personal use. In term of this course students become familiar with a minimum of 300 essential oils and are able to use at least 75 with ease. Graduates of this intensive advanced study receive a Certificate of Completion/Aromatherapy Specialty for 150 hours of Advanced Aromatherapy knowledge. After graduation students are eligible for practitioner liability insurance.
