Principles of Accounting

The Correspondence Courses Program provides an opportunity to enroll in and complete courses from Seattle Central Community College from the home or work. Such courses enable individuals to earn credits towards an A.A. or A.A.S. degree.

The correspondence courses are open enrollment. School year consists of two quarters (180 days), during which students are supposed to complete course requirements. Financial Aid may not be used for Continuous correspondence courses and full-time tuition fees are not applicable. Loan deferment eligibility is not available for these courses.

Principles of Accounting I (Introduction to accounting) - studies basic accounting concepts, principles and procedures for recording business transactions and developing financial accounting reports.

Principles Of Accounting II (Financial Accounting Fundamentals II) - provides application of basic accounting concepts, principles and procedures to more complex business situations and to different forms of enterprise ownership.

Principles Of Accounting III (Fundamentals Of Managerial Accounting). The course applies analysis of accounting data as part of the managerial process of planning, decision-making and control. Concentrates on economic decision-making in enterprises.

Tuition cost per course is $399 for Washington state residents and $499 for non-residents which include a $20 non-refundable fee.
