With the help of self-paced courses students can earn college credit by taking correspondence or online courses at their own pace. It is possible to enroll at any time of the year. Self-paced courses are taught from a distance, no class attendance is required.
Accounting (Concepts of Financial Reporting). The course was designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the financial reporting process, including the accounting cycle and the concepts and principles that underlie financial statements. Besides learning and applying many bookkeeping techniques used in the accounting process, here students learn how to analyze and communicate the financial information generated by the accounting process. Credits for this course are granted by NC State University. The course consists of 3 credit hours, and 16 submitted assignments.
Federal Income Taxation. It is an introductory course on the federal tax system. To enroll in this class students should have completed at least one college-level course in accounting, or have equivalent experience in dealing with financial statements. Moreover, it is necessary to be knowledgeable about income statements and balance sheets, and to be familiar with various types of business entities. Individuals should be prepared to solve elementary equations, and be able to write clearly, cogently, and sparingly. Credits are granted by Elizabeth City State University. The course consists of 3 credit hours, and 15 submitted assignments.
