University of Wisconsin Business courses:

Introduction to Management Information Systems – focuses on the study of information system concepts. Those concepts include how an information system functions, how information affects management decisions, user application development, elementary programming, and productivity packages. Here, students gain hands-on experience working in Microsoft Word and Excel and learn terminology associated with information systems.

Operations Management – examines modern concepts and models for producing goods and services in the public and private sectors. Students learn to identify and solve typical problems encountered in producing outputs, use the appropriate terminology, and select and use quantitative techniques when making decisions. Course written assignments require short essays and calculations. 

Principles of Marketing – an introductory course in marketing, a field that directly influences most people’s daily lives. Here you canl learn the basic theory and concept of marketing and its usefulness for individuals and organizations; the methods of research used before marketers take action; the actions marketers take when they choose products, prices, means of distribution, and promotion; and the successes and failures of marketing activities in the United States and in foreign countries.
